The Succession Faux Bamboo Bed is a hand-turned solid wood bed featuring distinctive faux bamboo-style ornamentation. Available in Spanish cedar and other hardwoods. Made to order in Rhode Island — custom sizes and finishes available.
This design came to us the way the best commissions do — with a single screenshot. A client spotted a faux bamboo tallpost bed in a scene from the HBO series Succession and reached out asking if we could recreate it. We could, and we did.
The Succession prop bed appeared in one of the show’s signature interior settings — understated old-money luxury, the kind that doesn’t announce itself. Our client saw exactly what we see in faux bamboo furniture: it carries an unmistakable pedigree without shouting about it. We worked from the screenshot, scaled it to their room dimensions, and built it in Spanish cedar with a hand-rubbed antique honey finish.

Custom faux bamboo armoire — Liberty Carvings
Our faux bamboo armoire carries the same bamboo ring-and-bobbin turning that defines the bed line into a full wardrobe case. Ring-turned pilasters frame the doors, bamboo banding runs across drawer fronts, and the cornice carries the same bobbin profile as the headboard rails. Available with solid wood doors, mirror-panel doors, or a combination.

Custom faux bamboo tallpost canopy King bed — Liberty Carvings
Our faux bamboo tallpost canopy bed extends the Urn-Top #029 post system to its fullest expression — tall urn-topped posts capped with a turned faux bamboo canopy frame. A grand architectural statement that works dressed with fabric or left open to show the turned work overhead.
Built from solid Spanish Cedar or Honduran Mahogany. Available in any standard finish — Spanish Cedar/Mahogany, Ebony, Natural, or Old Pine — or a custom color match. Turned canopy rails are fully structural and support sheer or blackout fabric panels.

This private commission was a fully custom bedroom suite — a Jamaican Plantation King bed (#9626) paired with a matched set of custom servers in dark mahogany, all designed and built to the client’s specification.
Dark mahogany finish with raised-panel doors, top drawers, and brass bail-pull hardware. Built as a matched pair — each server approximately 48″ wide × 20″ deep × 36″ high. Designed to match the bed commission in finish and proportion.
A custom Jamaican Plantation King (#9626) built to the client’s chosen post height and headboard profile, finished in the same dark mahogany as the servers. Turned post details and carved headboard motif characteristic of the Jamaican Plantation design.

The Urn-Top Faux Bamboo Bed (#029) is our taller, more architectural variant — four posts crowned with turned urn finials, bamboo-ring spindle rails along both the head and foot, and a solid paneled headboard and footboard. Designed for high-ceilinged rooms and grand bedrooms.
Our standard Faux Bamboo Paneled Bed has a lower, more refined silhouette with bamboo-carved panels. The Urn-Top has taller posts, a gallery spindle rail rather than carved panels, and a more dramatic presence — ideal for rooms with 10′ or higher ceilings.
